Dawn lives in the Phoenix area. She has learned that container
gardening consumes less water, although she has to keep an eye on things to
make sure that they don't dry out. Her use of blue tones tempers the heat she
lives with. Because the sun is so hard on her plants, she uses these containers
to brighten her usual heat-resistant plants. She changes the containers whenever
the plants have gone past their prime in the sun. The pink lobelia is very striking
with the yellow flowers, and I have never seen the red alyssum before and found
it a great addition to the container.
I just love Dawn's garden and had great fun helping her pick her "hot"
plants for a greener look.
